FAQ
The basics
Section titled “The basics”What is syntaka? A place to find traders on Hyperliquid worth following, copy them with practice money first, and trade or copy with real money once you turn on live trading. See getting started.
Does it cost anything to use? Browsing, following and practice cost nothing. On live orders syntaka charges 0.01% of each order’s value, on top of Hyperliquid’s own trading fee. See fees.
What’s the difference between practice and live? Practice uses practice money: nothing real is spent and nothing goes to Hyperliquid. Live orders and live copies go to Hyperliquid with your real money. Portfolio shows the two apart.
Do I need a wallet to start? No. You need a wallet only to turn on live trading.
Money and safety
Section titled “Money and safety”Does syntaka hold my money? No. Your money stays in your own Hyperliquid account. syntaka can place and cancel orders for you once you approve its trading key, but it can never withdraw or move your funds. See live trading.
How do I put money in? You deposit USDC into your own Hyperliquid account. See funding your account.
How do I stop live trading? In Your wallet, choose Revoke. It works at once. See live trading.
Will I make the same results as the trader I copy? Not exactly. Your copy enters later, at a different size and price, and pays fees. Past results never promise future ones. See risks.
Will syntaka ever ask for my seed phrase or private key? Never. Anyone who asks for them is not syntaka. See security.
Your account
Section titled “Your account”I forgot my password. Choose Forgot password? on the sign-in screen and follow the email. See security.
Why do I need an authenticator app? It confirms that it’s really you before anything that touches real money, such as turning on live trading. See security.
I can’t see a screen that’s described here. Some parts of syntaka are still opening up step by step, so they may not be open for your account yet.
Where do I find a word I don’t know? In the glossary.
