Getting started
syntaka is a trading app for Hyperliquid. It helps you find traders who do well, follow what they do, and copy them, with clear limits on how much you can lose. If you want to trade yourself, it also has a full trading screen.
What’s in the app
Section titled “What’s in the app”The bar at the top has four pages:
- Terminal: the price chart, the order book and your account tables. See the Terminal.
- Explore: a ranked library of Hyperliquid traders, to find and judge them. See Explore.
- For You: the simple way to copy traders. Pick an amount and a risk level, then press Copy. See For You.
- Portfolio: how your copies, your practice trades and the traders you follow did. See Portfolio.
On a phone, the same pages sit in a bar at the bottom, with Account added at the end.
Look around before you sign up
Section titled “Look around before you sign up”You don’t need an account to look around. Without signing in, you can open the Terminal and Explore. A few things, such as a trader’s full page or Compare, ask you to sign up first. Your Portfolio and your settings are only there once you sign in.
Create your account
Section titled “Create your account”Click Sign up at the top right. What you see depends on how sign-ups are open:
- Sign up: anyone can create an account.
- Have an invite?: syntaka is open by invite for now. Open the link in your invite to create your account.
- Sign-ups paused: new sign-ups are paused for now. If you already have an account, you can still Log in.
To create an account with your email:
- Enter your email and choose a password.
- Check your inbox. We send a link to confirm your email. It works for 24 hours.
- Open the link, then sign in.
If Continue with Google or Continue with X is shown, you can use that instead of a password.
Sign in
Section titled “Sign in”Click Log in at the top right, then enter your email and password. Once you’re in, you return to the page you were on.
Forgot your password? Click Forgot password? and we email you a link to choose a new one. The link works for one hour. When you set a new password, every browser that was signed in is signed out, so sign in again with the new one.
Keep your account safe
Section titled “Keep your account safe”Open the account menu at the top right and choose Your account. There you can:
- see how you sign in, and change your email or password;
- set up an Authenticator app, so each sign-in also asks for a 6-digit code from your phone;
- see Where you’re signed in, and sign out everywhere;
- export your data, or delete your account.
When you set up an authenticator app, you get backup codes. Each one signs you in once if you lose your phone. They are not shown again, so save them somewhere safe.
Your first steps
Section titled “Your first steps”- Browse Explore. Look at the ranked traders, their styles and their copy fit. Follow a few that you like.
- Open For You. Answer two short questions (how much and how much risk), then press Show my traders.
- Copy a trader with practice money. Practice money is not real. Nothing real is spent while you learn how copying works.
- Check Portfolio. See how your copies did, trader by trader.
- Read about the risks. Copying can lose money, even with limits. See risks.
When you are ready for real money, see live trading and funding your account.
Handy extras
Section titled “Handy extras”- Hide my amounts: in the account menu, or press H. Your dollar amounts show as dots, handy when sharing your screen.
- Search: press Ctrl + K (or ⌘K on a Mac) to find markets, traders and actions.
- Shortcuts: press ? to see every keyboard shortcut.
- What’s new: in the account menu. A dot shows when there is something new.
- Send feedback: in the account menu. Your note goes to the team with the page you are on.
