The Terminal

The Terminal is syntaka’s full trading screen. It has a price chart in the middle, the order book beside it, the order form at the right, and your account tables under the chart. Anyone can open it, even before signing in.

Click the market’s name above the chart, or press /, to search the markets. You’ll find Hyperliquid’s crypto markets, and also stocks, indices, commodities, currencies and more. Those extra markets are run on Hyperliquid by their own deployers.

You can also press Ctrl + K (⌘K on a Mac) to search markets, traders and actions from anywhere.

Pick a timeframe from 1m (one minute) up to 1M (30 days). Open the full list with More timeframes. Star a timeframe to keep it as a button in the chart’s header; your stars are saved for every device.

Choose how prices are drawn: Candles, Hollow candles, Bars, Line, Line with markers, Step line, Area, HLC area, Baseline, Columns, High-low or Heikin Ashi.

The drawing tools sit at the chart’s left edge:

  • Lines: trend lines, rays, horizontal and vertical lines, and parallel channels.
  • Fibonacci retracement.
  • Positions: draw a long or short position with its target and stop.
  • Shapes, Text and Measure.

The Magnet snaps the crosshair to the bar under the pointer. You can also lock, hide or remove all drawings. Removing them asks first, and Ctrl + Z brings them back.

Click the bell on a drawn line to arm a price alert. The server watches it, even while syntaka is closed, and it rings once when the price gets there. The Alerts tab lists the alerts that are armed.

Right-click the chart for its menu. Handy shortcuts:

  • Alt + R: reset the chart view.
  • Alt + L: log scale.
  • Alt + P: percent scale.

Open Settings… in that menu to change colours, candles, the grid, the crosshair, the time zone and more. Changes show as you make them and are saved for every device.

Traders you follow show on your chart with their letter and colour: their entries, stops and targets. Use the Traders menu to pick which followed traders the chart draws, coin by coin. Follow traders in Explore.

The order book shows asks over bids, with the spread between them. Under it, the Trades list shows the latest trades: green when a buyer took it, red when a seller did.

  • Group prices by a bigger step with the grouping menu (or press G).
  • Click the size unit to switch between USD and the coin.
  • Press T to show or hide the book.

The order form lets you place orders on the chart’s market.

  • Market, Limit, or Pro orders: Chase, Scale, Stop Limit, Stop Market, Take Limit, Take Market, Trailing Stop and TWAP.
  • Buy · Long or Sell · Short.
  • Leverage: margin is isolated, so each position ties up its own margin and is liquidated when that margin is gone.
  • Take profit / Stop loss: set them as prices, or as a gain or loss.
  • Reduce only: the order can only close (part of) a position.
  • TIF (time in force): Good till cancelled, Immediate or cancel, or Add liquidity only.

Under the button you see a summary of the order. It shows your loss at the stop in dollars, and warns you when liquidation would come before your stop.

Under the chart, the tabs show your account:

  • Balances: equity, free margin, balance, open P&L and margin.
  • Positions: open positions with their P&L, liquidation price, funding, and TP / SL. Close 25%, 50% or 100% of a position at once, or use Close all.
  • Open orders: orders waiting to fill, with Cancel all.
  • Trade history: every fill, with its fee.
  • Order history: every order and what became of it.
  • Outcomes: each closed trade, a win or a loss, after fees and funding.
  • Alerts: your price alerts, your trade events and your followed traders’ changes.
  • Following: your followed traders’ changes, one row per coin and quarter hour.
  • Top traders: the largest positions on the chart’s coin among the traders syntaka tracks.

On a trader’s change, Trade this puts its coin and side in your order form. Nothing is placed until you press the button.

Use the View menu to show or hide the Order book, the Order form and the Account tables.

On a phone, the order form opens as a sheet over the page.
