Fees

When you trade live, you pay two kinds of fee on each order that fills:

  • Hyperliquid’s trading fee, which goes to Hyperliquid;
  • syntaka’s fee, 0.01% of the order’s value.

Funding is a separate cost (or income) on open positions. It is not a fee charged by syntaka.

Practice trades and practice copies cost nothing real.

Hyperliquid charges its own fee on every fill. How much depends on how the order fills:

  • Taker: an order that fills at once, such as a market order, a trigger, or a limit order through the price.
  • Maker: an order that rests on the book and is filled later.

On Hyperliquid’s base tier, the taker fee is 0.045% and the maker fee is 0.015% of the order’s value. Hyperliquid lowers these rates for accounts with more trading volume. Some markets created by third parties on Hyperliquid set their own rates; the order form shows them when you pick such a market.

syntaka does not set or receive Hyperliquid’s fees.

syntaka charges 0.01% of the value of each live order. It is the same for every order type, and the same for your own orders and your live copies.

Some examples:

Order value syntaka’s fee
$100 $0.01
$1,000 $0.10
$10,000 $1.00

The fee is a Hyperliquid “builder fee”. You approve it once, with the second signature when you turn on live trading. After that:

  • every live order carries syntaka’s fee, and no live order is sent without it;
  • Hyperliquid takes the fee from your account when the order fills, together with its own fee;
  • you pay on what actually fills: an order that never fills costs nothing.

syntaka can’t take money from your account any other way: its trading key can’t withdraw or move funds.

Fees are always shown in dollars:

  • Before you place an order, the Fees row of the order summary shows both, for example “$0.45 Hyperliquid + $0.10 syntaka”.
  • In the confirmation of each live order, the fees are part of the words you confirm.
  • In your trade history, each fill shows Hyperliquid’s fee and syntaka’s fee.
  • In your Portfolio, the costs are listed line by line: Hyperliquid’s fees, syntaka’s fee (0.01%), funding, and what is left After costs.

Perpetual positions pay or receive funding while they are open. It flows between traders who are long and traders who are short, not to syntaka. Your Portfolio shows it as Funding paid or Funding received. See the glossary.

Deposits and withdrawals happen on Hyperliquid, not in syntaka. syntaka charges nothing for them. Moving USDC to Hyperliquid costs a little ETH on Arbitrum for gas. See funding your account.
